SELSTAR FIREWORKS, WHO ARE WE?

Selstar Fireworks is one of 29 top companies who are members of the British Pyrotechnists' Association. This Association is the leading group in Britain which regulates firework displays and merchandise.

Peter Cooper, the Company Proprietor, has been firing shows for almost 30 years and is fully trained in Health and Safety Legislation. He has organised many events himself and understands how demanding and problematic this can be. He is a member of the British Pyrotechnists' Association and the Firework Maker's Guild and an Associate Member of the institute of Explosive Engineers.

Selstar Fireworks are the first and only Company to undertake firework displays on Worthing Pier since it was built in the 19th century. Selstar Fireworks also produce all the firework displays at the Royal Armouries Museum at Fort Nelson in Portsmouth. We also provided fireworks for Jodie Kidd's wedding at Hickstead (pictures of the display appeared in Hello Magazine), filming for Pinewood Studios for 'Penelope' starring Christina Ricci to be released soon.

Due to our reputation for the quality of our displays and the professionalism of our staff, we are frequently asked to send Pyrotechnicians to assist with some very prestigious displays, including The London Eye, two barges for the River of Fire on Millennium Eve and six of our Pyrotechnicians assisted with the Queens's Jubilee Celebrations, both at Buckingham Palace and Green Park.

The Pyrotechnicians are lead by Steve Harriott (Display Manager) and include Tony Neal (Technical Manager), Paul Goodland, Craig Cockram, Allan Goodland, Aubyn Mee, Alan Edwards, Barrie Shippam, Richard Carver, Philip Prior, Tony Leeson, James Langford, Rob Willis, Martin Prior, Elspeth Warren, Terry Willis, Rodney Lush, Steve Zwinkils, Kate Bourne, Alan Munday and Nathen Goodland.

As indviduals, they have all been involved in organising and firing large displays and can turn the smallest display into a creative and spetacular event.
